Planning a trip to the US and can’t decide what state or region to choose and whether you want to stay in a big city of have a camping weekends in the forest? You can choose both on your trip to Denver, Colorado!
It’s a bustling city, surrounded with giant mountains and green foothills.
Denver is also called “Mile High Сity” since it’s located at about 1600-1700 meters above sea level. And it’s a “gem” of the US nature – a unique combination of wildlife areas. Also it’s an education center for students from all over the world and a destination for many tourists.
How to spend a few days in Denver?
Denver offers a great variety of touristic attractions and activities, that would be interesting even for an experienced picky traveler. For example, if you’re fond of history, then you should visit Denver museum of Nature and science, which is located in the City park, so you can stroll through the halls with dinosaur skeletons, collections of rare minerals and some other showpieces from different millennium.
Maybe you’re into shopping, then your destination would be Larimer square or 16th Street mall. Or you can choose the easiest variant – take a daily Denver tour with local guides around all the main places of interest.
Go out of town!
The best advice I can give – don’t spend the whole vacation within the city, there so many landmarks near Denver. For example, you can take Mount Evans tour to the mount Evans, which is a part of well-known mountain range Rocky Mountains.
You may also go for a hiking tour in local National Park (you can choose its duration and difficulty level depending on your physical wellness). If you’re not a fan of physical activities, you can visit Wild Animal Sanctuary or a few marvelous cities near Denver such as Evergreen and Georgetown.
