Crime noir meets science fiction in Rian Johnson’s Looper , and the match is magical. In a future where time journey is invented and immediately made illegal, crime syndicates use the expertise for time-hopping assassinations. But to tie off some temporal inconsistencies, the murderer should eventually become the goal—and that is where issues get fascinating. This is not flawless sci-fi but it surely’s definitely ingenious.
